From the Commander
Hello Comrades, I just want to start off by saying thank you for your support and assistance with a great Family Day, although the attendance was not as much as prior years it was still a success in my book. Anytime we can reach out to our community and give them an event they can enjoy it is a great thing. We are already planning on Family Day 2016 so if you have any ideas meetings will be starting in February. I also believe we have worked out all our kinks with the startup of the new kitchen, our fish fry's are growing weekly and are a hit. We still are in the process of some more changing within the post ( I know some feel change is bad) but I assure you in the long run it they will pay off and the job I was elected to do will be accomplished. The next upcoming change is staring December 1st we will be opening at 11am, with the Sno Caps grill outside. I am hoping this will give people a place to grab lunch and enjoy it in the canteen. As I sign off I always want to encourage new ideas and thoughts so please attend the meetings as that will be the only way to assure your voice is heard. Have a great holiday Sincerely, Your Commander Michael Coughlin (352) 201-6881 firstname.lastname@example.org
National Year End Campaign
Especially at this time of year—Christmastime—we need to show veterans we care about them and won’t let them down. Please make your gift to the 2015 VFW Year-End Campaign today. Our veterans are why we can proudly call this country “the land of the free.” Please help us end the year stronger than ever. Let’s do all we can for our defenders, Shawn. And I hope you’ll also watch—and share—this new video to see just how much your generous support means to the real heroes in our midst … America’s veterans.
